headus supplies a comprehensive range of 3D scanning products and services to the Entertainment, Industrial Design and Health Care industries in Australia and around the world.

From our headquarters in Perth, Western Australia, we develop 3D scanning software that has been used to produce special effects for movies such as "Titanic", "Pitch Black" and "King Kong". headus software is used by the US Armed Forces to make close fitting masks that control scarring in burns patients, and to help in the design of uniforms. Every Cyberware 3D scanner now sold through-out the world is bundled with headus software.

headus was formed back in 1994 after the development and success of CySurf, a tool used to fit NURBS patches to 3D face and head scans. The scanning bureau was opened in 1995 to push the boundaries and promote further development of the software. Since then we have acquired 4 scanners, developed CyDir, CySlice and UVLayout, and have become the exclusive distributor for Cyberware 3D Color scanners in Australia and New Zealand. In January 2000 we opened our second office, located at Fox Studios in Sydney.
